1972 Dodge Polara Rental Added in Florida

Movie Car Registry has added this 1972 Dodge Polara to its network listings through USA Movie Cars. The vehicle sits in Palm Bay, Florida, and gives Florida productions a period-accurate police sedan without needing to source from out of state. Crews working on film, television, or commercial projects can now consider a restored police-package Polara for scenes set in the early 1970s.

Spotlight on this 1972 Dodge Polara

This four-door sedan carries a real police package and wears California Highway Patrol markings after a full restoration. The exterior finish is black and the interior is gray, matching the straightforward look of law-enforcement vehicles from that decade. Producers can place it in establishing shots or background action where a marked patrol car helps set the time period and location.

The sedan’s proportions and trim details read clearly on camera even from a distance. Its presence adds texture to any scene that needs an authentic 1970s police vehicle rather than a modern substitute. Location managers working in central or south Florida now have a local option that reduces transport time and cost for period productions.

Movie Car Registry and the Florida Picture Car Market

Movie Car Registry connects productions with vehicles listed across the USA Movie Cars network. When a car like this 1972 Dodge Polara appears in Palm Bay, Florida, the registry makes it visible to coordinators searching nationwide. USA Movie Cars works with state picture-car sites such as Florida Picture Cars so that crews can locate local vehicles quickly instead of importing cars from other regions.

This approach keeps more production spending inside Florida. Location managers and picture-car coordinators gain access to vehicles already positioned in the state, which shortens turnaround times for last-minute changes or additional shooting days. The network listing also lets independent filmmakers and commercial directors see what is available without separate searches across multiple platforms.

History of the 1972 Dodge Polara

The Polara nameplate served as Dodge’s full-size offering through the late 1960s and early 1970s. In 1972 the model still offered a dedicated police package that included heavier-duty suspension, brakes, and cooling systems suited to patrol work. Many agencies chose the four-door sedan body for its room and durability.

California Highway Patrol markings on this example reflect a common livery of the era. The black-and-white scheme and roof-mounted light bar were standard visual cues for viewers during that decade. Restored examples like this one preserve those details so productions can place them in scenes without modern anachronisms.

Florida Picture Car Rental Uses

Crews filming in Florida can use the Polara for any sequence set in the early 1970s that requires a marked patrol car. It works for establishing shots of a station house, highway traffic stops, or background elements in street scenes. The sedan also supplies visual weight in music videos or still photography that reference that period.

Commercial directors have placed similar restored police cars in brand campaigns that evoke nostalgia or retro styling. Event planners sometimes request vintage law-enforcement vehicles for themed gatherings or promotional activations. The four-door layout allows easy camera access and passenger movement during takes.
