1972 Chevy Monte Carlo Rental Added in Kentucky

Movie Car Registry has added a 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo to its listings through the USA Movie Cars network. The vehicle sits in Louisville, Kentucky, giving productions working in the region a period-correct coupe for scenes that need authentic 1970s texture. Crews filming in Kentucky can contact the network to review the car for upcoming shoots without traveling outside the state for this particular model.

Spotlight on this 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo

The listing shows a yellow exterior that remains close to factory appearance aside from a repaint. The car carries a brown interior and two-door coupe body style with an automatic transmission and gasoline engine. Mileage sits at 77,000, and the owner notes that aside from new tires, paint, and electronic fuel injection the Monte Carlo looks much as it did when it left the factory. Those details help producers judge how the car will read on camera in daylight or under set lighting.

The stock presentation keeps the vehicle in its original character rather than a heavily modified version. That stock look supports scenes where the car needs to blend into a residential street or parking lot without drawing attention as a custom build. Louisville, Kentucky location means the car can reach sets in the metro area quickly for day or night shoots.

Movie Car Registry and the Kentucky Picture Car Market

Movie Car Registry works alongside USA Movie Cars to connect productions with vehicles across multiple states. In Kentucky the network pairs with local sites such as Kentucky Picture Cars so that location managers and picture car coordinators can search for cars registered in the state rather than sorting through national results only. This approach shortens the time needed to locate a vehicle that already sits in Louisville, Kentucky or nearby counties.

Productions shooting features, commercials, or music videos in Kentucky benefit when the car does not require long-distance transport. USA Movie Cars maintains relationships with state-level picture car resources so that a single call can surface options that match both the script period and the shoot location. The 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo fits that pattern as a vehicle already based in the state.

History of the 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo

The 1972 model year placed the Monte Carlo in its second generation as a personal luxury coupe built by Chevrolet. The body style emphasized a long hood and formal roofline that became common in the early 1970s. Yellow paint was one of the colors offered during that period, and many examples left the factory with two-tone or solid color schemes that matched the era’s preference for bold exterior shades.

The Monte Carlo appealed to buyers looking for a mid-size car with more presence than a standard sedan yet without the size of a full-frame luxury model. Automatic transmissions and gasoline engines were standard equipment on most versions. The overall design remained largely unchanged in visual character from the prior year, keeping the 1972 model recognizable as part of the early 1970s Chevrolet lineup.

Kentucky Picture Car Rental Uses

Producers can place the Monte Carlo in establishing shots of 1970s neighborhoods or business districts where a period car helps set the time frame. The yellow exterior and stock appearance give background texture without overpowering foreground action. Scenes that require a character to drive away from a house or arrive at a location can use the two-door coupe for natural movement.

Still photographers and commercial crews working in Kentucky often need a vehicle that reads as everyday transportation from the decade. The car works for music videos that reference 1970s settings or for branded content that wants authentic period detail. Event planners can also stage the Monte Carlo as a static display piece when the production calls for a classic car on site.
