1960 Cadillac series 62 Rental Added in Wisconsin
Movie Car Registry has added a 1960 Cadillac series 62 to its listings through the USA Movie Cars network. The black four-door sedan is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and gives Wisconsin productions direct access to an authentic early-1960s luxury vehicle for film, television, commercial, and photography work.
Spotlight on this 1960 Cadillac series 62
The vehicle is finished in black with matching black interior. It carries period details that include a 1960 rabbit-ear antenna mounted on the rear deck, a working 1963 Secode rotary telephone, and a working 1960 Sony micro television. These elements allow the car to function as both a background vehicle and a prop that can be used inside the frame without modern distractions.
Crews filming in Wisconsin can use the sedan for establishing shots that need a 1960s street presence or for scenes where a character drives or rides in a luxury car of the era. The four-door configuration makes loading and unloading equipment or talent straightforward during long production days.
Movie Car Registry and the Wisconsin Picture Car Market
Movie Car Registry connects productions with picture vehicles listed across the USA Movie Cars network. When a project needs a local car in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the registry surfaces vehicles already located in the state rather than requiring transport from farther away. USA Movie Cars works with state picture-car sites such as Wisconsin Picture Cars to help productions find local picture vehicles quickly.
Milwaukee sits within easy reach of many Wisconsin shooting locations, from urban streets to lakeside settings. Having this 1960 Cadillac series 62 already in the area reduces travel time for both the vehicle and the crew members assigned to it.
History of the 1960 Cadillac series 62
The Series 62 nameplate identified Cadillac’s mid-level line of full-size sedans and coupes during the late 1950s and early 1960s. These cars were built on a long wheelbase that gave them a substantial road presence while still fitting the everyday luxury segment of the market. In 1960 the model carried the signature tailfin styling and chrome detailing that defined American cars of that period.
Sedans like this one were common in both private and commercial service throughout the decade. Their size and appointments made them suitable for business travel, family use, and formal occasions. The black paint and black interior combination found on this example was a popular factory offering that still reads as formal and understated on camera.
Wisconsin Picture Car Rental Uses
Productions shooting period stories set in the 1960s can place the sedan on residential streets or in downtown Milwaukee to establish the correct decade. The car works equally well as a character vehicle for a professional or affluent figure or as background texture in wider crowd scenes.
Commercial directors often need a classic car that feels expensive without being flashy. This Cadillac supplies that look while the working telephone and television add functional props that can be shown in close-ups. Still photographers and music video crews can use the same features for static or slow-moving shots that highlight the interior details.
Event planners and branded-content teams sometimes request period vehicles for photo backdrops or interactive displays. The sedan’s size allows it to anchor a display area while remaining drivable for short moves between locations.
