Spotlight on this 1955 Dodge Coronet – Original Immacuate Tri-tone Acqua – Philadelphia Area
This Dodge Coronet is a tri-tone 2-door hardtop finished in Chiffon Green, Emerald Green, and white. It remains fully original and presents as a well-kept mid-1950s survivor. The interior is period-correct and clean, with working lights, gauges, an AM radio, and windshield wipers that crews can operate on set.
The car is powered by its original V-8 engine paired with a Powerlite automatic transmission. It rides on a full set of period-correct wide whitewall tires and hubcaps. Registered and insured, the vehicle is described as close-up ready from all angles, which matters for productions that need to frame the car directly or place actors beside it.
Movie Car Registry and the Pennsylvania Picture Car Market
Movie Car Registry works with USA Movie Cars to connect productions with vehicles listed across the country. When a car is based in Pennsylvania, the network helps crews locate it quickly rather than searching multiple scattered sources. USA Movie Cars maintains relationships with state picture-car sites such as Pennsylvania Picture Cars so that local listings surface for productions filming in the region.
Crews working in Pennsylvania often need vehicles that match the era of a script without traveling long distances. A Philadelphia Area car reduces transport time and simplifies insurance and permitting steps. The addition of this Coronet expands the options available to location managers and picture car coordinators who are building looks for 1950s scenes.
History of the 1955 Dodge Coronet – Original Immacuate Tri-tone Acqua – Philadelphia Area
The 1955 Dodge Coronet was part of Dodge’s mid-decade lineup that emphasized straightforward styling and reliable V-8 power. Two-door hardtops from this year were common on roads across the United States and appeared frequently in period photography and advertising. The tri-tone paint schemes offered by Dodge at the time gave owners a distinctive look that still reads as unmistakably 1950s.
Survivor cars like this one retain original body panels, trim, and interior components. They show the details that matter on camera, such as correct hubcaps, wide whitewall tires, and factory gauge clusters. Because the car has not been heavily modified, it supplies an authentic texture for any production set in the middle of the twentieth century.
Pennsylvania Picture Car Rental Uses
Producers can use this Coronet for street scenes set in the 1950s or early 1960s. Its three-tone finish and hardtop profile work well for establishing shots of neighborhoods or downtown areas. The working interior allows actors to sit inside while dialogue is filmed, and the running engine supports simple driving sequences.
Still photographers and music video directors can place the car in front of period buildings or use it as a prop in branded content. Event planners sometimes request vintage vehicles for photo backdrops or stage dressing. Because the car is registered and insured, productions avoid extra steps when moving it between locations within Pennsylvania.
