History of the 1926 Chrysler touring car

The 1920s marked the early years of Chrysler as a brand, and touring cars like the Model 50 reflected the shift toward more accessible closed and open body styles for everyday drivers. These vehicles featured long hood lines, exposed wheels, and simple interiors that read clearly on camera when a production needs authentic 1920s street texture.

The touring car body style offered an open-air layout that worked for both personal transport and light commercial use during that decade. Productions set in the 1920s often rely on these shapes to establish time period quickly in wide shots or background traffic. The manual transmission and convertible configuration align with the mechanical character of cars from that era, giving sound teams and camera operators predictable elements to work around.

Rhode Island Picture Car Rental Uses

This Chrysler can support scenes that require a 1920s vehicle for character arrival or departure. Its convertible body allows directors to keep the top down for clear views of actors or to close it when weather or continuity calls for coverage. Productions filming establishing shots in Rhode Island can place the car in the background to add depth without drawing focus from foreground action.

Commercial and still photography teams can use the blue finish and black interior as a neutral period element that pairs with wardrobe or product placement. Music videos and branded content shoots often need a single distinctive car for a short sequence, and this vehicle gives crews a ready option that already carries film credits. Event planners can also position it as a static display piece when a gathering calls for vintage automotive atmosphere.
