Spotlight on this 1920 Maxwell touring car

The listing shows a black convertible with matching black interior. It runs on gasoline with a manual transmission and is described as being in good running condition. These details matter for productions that need a period vehicle that can move under its own power during a shoot in Little Compton or nearby towns.

Producers can see the open touring body style that places passengers in full view of the camera. The simple lines and era-appropriate appearance give scenes an authentic 1920s texture without requiring additional set dressing. Rhode Island film car coordinators often look for vehicles that deliver this kind of visual clarity for both moving shots and static frames.

Movie Car Registry and the Rhode Island Picture Car Market

Movie Car Registry connects productions with vehicles listed across the USA Movie Cars network. This 1920 Maxwell touring car in Little Compton, Rhode Island, is one example of how the platform surfaces local assets. USA Movie Cars works with state picture-car sites such as Rhode Island Picture Cars to help productions find vehicles closer to their filming locations.

When crews need a Rhode Island movie car for a project based in New England, the network reduces the need to transport vehicles from distant states. The listing in Little Compton places the Maxwell within easy reach of shoots across Rhode Island and neighboring areas, supporting both day trips and longer location stays.

History of the 1920 Maxwell touring car

Maxwell produced automobiles in the early decades of the twentieth century, and the touring body style was common for open-air travel during that period. The 1920 model year places this vehicle in the era when many American roads were still unpaved and cars served both practical and recreational purposes. Convertible designs allowed drivers and passengers to enjoy the surroundings while the car remained a practical means of transport.

The body configuration shown in the listing reflects the standard touring layout of the time, with room for multiple occupants and an emphasis on visibility rather than enclosed comfort. Productions set in the 1920s often rely on vehicles of this type to populate streets, driveways, and rural roads. The black exterior and interior combination matches many factory color offerings from that decade.

Rhode Island Picture Car Rental Uses

This Maxwell works well for establishing shots that require a 1920s street presence. Its convertible top and open sides let cameras capture character reactions while the car travels through Rhode Island locations. Background scenes in small towns or along coastal roads gain period texture when the vehicle appears in the distance or parked at the curb.

Still photography and music video crews can use the car for static compositions that emphasize its lines and era. Commercial shoots looking for vintage atmosphere can place the Maxwell in frame without additional modifications. Event productions and branded content also benefit from having a running antique vehicle available for guest arrivals or display purposes in Rhode Island.
